Many from surprising sources. And isn’t that wonderful? Truly!
We had a possible hurricane, you see. It didn’t actually happen, because it rarely does where we live, but if you watch the weather news, republican or democrat, you would all miraculously agree and swear that where we live was about to be engulfed by an epic hurricane, a life-changing event! Um, that would be a No.
Still, it could have happened, and people we know from past lives, past careers, past romances, past moments...they chose today to think of us and send a message that they wished us well.
And I thought, well, isn’t that everything?
You don’t have to think of people. You don’t have to remember them. But when you do, it’s something that creates a warmth that is deeply felt.
So, thank you Portland and Palm Springs and New York and Tequesta. Thank you Rehoboth and Baltimore and Philadelphia and Santa Fe and parts of New England and all of New Jersey. Thank you Chicago and London and Quebec. Thank you.
We’re dry, unhurricaned and fine. More than fine, in fact. We’re loved and we know it.
And we love you back.
