When Bad Things Happen to Bad People

“You spent an hour too long, honey.”

That’s a great line from the Judy Garland/James Mason version of A Star is Born, after the Makeover Team has tried to turn the Judy Garland character into someone else, someone more generically acceptable to a certain audience. But the James Mason character sees the folly of their ways and peels away the artifice to reveal the wonder of the original.

Sadly, the current administration has no James Mason on staff. And there is no “wonder” among these originals. All they have is artifice.

Today someone was fired from her job, presumably for incompetence, possibly for lying under oath, and, most assuredly, for criminal over-use of Botox and fillers (which we’ve all been supporting with our tax dollars – along with the Funeral-Home-Barbie-Goes-to-Hell make-up styling, extensions and costume changes).

And she didn’t even flinch during her highly combative hearing, as factually supported insult upon insult was hurled in her direction. No expression. None. Once it sets, cement doesn’t move.

Note for future court dates for the lady in question, as well as any others who may find themselves in similar circumstances: Too much Botox combined with the lack of a soul is not helpful to one’s defense.
