ABOUT THE ARTIST

William Sloan has maintained careers as a fine artist and as a creative director in advertising and marketing for more than 40 years. He’s found that both paths have intersected often during that time, and that the most important lesson to be learned is to always find the joy in all of your creative endeavors. With an energized brush stroke and a confident use of color, Bill combines aspects of Impressionism and Expressionism in his painting technique. He works in oils, watercolors and acrylics, and specializes in portraits, landscapes, abstracts and murals.

His clients and commissions have included Marcela Ganoza Bombieri, Mike and Pilar de Graffenreid, Eric Jerome Dickey, Christopher Durang and Sigourney Weaver, Ethan Allen Interiors, Inc., Michael Feinstein, Rob and Shirl Gauthier, Jack Lindsey and Bob Murphy, Herman Miller, Inc., Secretary General and Mrs. Perez de Cuellar, Elizabeth Taylor, and Ellen Lundquist Thompson. His work can be found in many private and corporate collections, worldwide.

In addition to his fine art and corporate design work, Bill has illustrated more than 300 book covers and done the image identities for 40 Broadway/Off Broadway shows.
