Sky. Water. Land.

It’s all in how you look at it.

When the world seems to be getting uglier by the minute, I think it’s important to find the beauty.
Sky, water, land – all beautiful, all natural, just there. Any buildings are irrelevant and diminished in the presence of the other three. Any people...well, from a distance, I can’t even see them, let alone hear them, and isn’t that a wonderful thing?
Sky, water, land. Here, long before you existed; here, long after you’re gone. Sometimes active, sometimes peaceful, always right, never wrong.
I’m older now, and this time around, in the world of public opinion and ostentatious power on parade, I don’t understand the perceived end game. I don’t understand the goal. Because inevitably, it won’t matter.
We can hurt each other and prove nothing. But, you can’t conquer the sea or the land or the sky. You can dent them, muddy them, alter them a little, challenge them unfairly with stupidity and disrespect, but they’ll always win because they work together, fluidly, naturally, continually.
Whereas men.....they come and go.
“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
